Is there a difference between Daxxify®, Botox®, Dysport®,Jeuveau™ & Xeomin®?​

There are 5 kinds of Botox available and they are equally effective. Daxxify®, Botox®, Dysport®,Jeuveau™ and Xeomin® are made by different companies but they work by exactly the same way. (Note: Daxxify® is unique in that it lasts double the duration of the previous brands.) The cost of each brand is the same and the results are equal. A good analogy would be a person is looking for ibuprofen in a pharmacy. One person might buy Motrin, Advil or Nuprin. At the end of the day – they are all taking ibuprofen.
The most important factor is the skill of the person injecting rather than the product itself. E.g. If all the brands of botox are like “scissors” – it’s the skill of the hair stylist that determines the result.

Is it safe?

In regards to safety – one must differentiate cosmetic Botox from medical Botox. Botox has been used in hospitals since 1989 for eye disorders, muscle spasms, migraine headaches and hyperhydrosis (sweaty palms). These patients receive hundreds of units of Botox for these conditions. In contrast – cosmetic Botox has only been used since 2002 and patients only receive 50 units or less. As a result – cosmetic Botox is among the safest procedures in medicine without any risk of permanent problems.

How does Botox® work?

Botox® relaxes the muscle by blocking nerve impulses. Think of a computer that is connected to the Internet. Botox basically turns off your internet signal so that you can not surf the internet. The hardware still works and everything is intact. Just no signal.
During the quick 10-minute procedure, a medical protein called Botulinum A Toxin is injected into the targeted area. After a short time, the BOTOX® temporarily relaxes the facial muscles that cause the wrinkling, thereby creating a softer, more relaxed appearance. Thousands of people report noticeable results and are pleased with the dramatic difference. Although the procedure is temporary, it is safe and very effective.
